Pastor Aracelis (Ada) Ortiz
Founder/CEO of Faith Pleases God Church

Pastor Aracelis Ortiz was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. She was married to Pastor Carlos Ortiz in Brooklyn, New York. They had five children which gave them twelve beautiful grandchildren.

She came to know the Lord in 1974, and began a television ministry along with her husband in 1975, she is also the founder of "La Familia Television Network". In the year of 1999 she began a women's ministry, "Mujeres Hispanas Determinadas" which is being of great impact to all women who have seen the program through out the world.In the year 2000, Pastor Aracelis founded the "Widows Might Organization (WMM)", which is being a great blessing. WMM focuses in meeting the needs of the widow in their moments of tribulation and spiritual hunger.

In the same year she also began a television program titled "Steps of Faith", this is a fun and practical program for every creature of God who is looking for a change in their live. At the same time, this program motivates God's children to read and meditate on the word of God, and teaches how to put it into practice.

For many years Pastor Aracelis Ortiz took on the responsibilities inside and outside of her home, so that she could lighten the load and enable her husband, Pastor Carlos Ortiz to do the work that God had commanded him to do. She made a lot of sacrifices and worked just as hard as he did, for less public acclaim than he received. In God's eyes, her work as a wife, mother, hostess, and a pastor's wife was no less important than his. For I believe she works not for the rewards of men but for the price of heaven. While her husband was away conducting the Lord's business, Pastor Aracelis was always with her children. She was the stabilizing force in the home whenever Pastor Carlos couldn't be.

As her children grew older, Pastor Aracelis began directing her energies outside the home. Presently Pastor Aracelis is the acting founder and CEO of Faith Pleases God Church.

Everyone who Pastor Aracelis is deeply impressed by her deep faith in God. Faith is the root of Pastor Aracelis' success in life. Her children describe her as a very loving and protective mother, whom is determined that all her children will love, obeyand serve the Lord with all their heart to be able to be a light on this Earth for those who do not know Jesus. In other words, she wants to make sure that her children succeed in every area in the body of Christ as well as her grandchildren; she put its this way "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord".

As a pastor's wife for many years she was protected, now for over a year her role has changed to being the protector for all of those who visit her church and she does it the way that Jesus Christ would do it. She is very compassionate, humble, always ready to serve and teaches the word of God by example. She understands that God has her here in the Rio Grand Valley for a reason and one reason only, and that is to preach the Gospel and the love of God.
